Planning for Your Future Seminar – WA
There are a growing number of people in our community who are elderly and have a cognitive impairment, often due to dementia. This vulnerable group of people face a higher risk of abuse, exploitation and neglect, often referred to as ‘elder abuse’.
As part of its on-going efforts to raise awareness of elder abuse and find ways to combat it, the Office of the Public Advocate is once again providing an information session during World Elder Abuse Awareness Week.
The session, entitled ‘Planning for your Future’, will explain how an Enduring Power of Attorney, Enduring Power of Guardianship and Advance Health Directive can be used to protect you from potential abuse and exploitation.
If you are interested in finding out more, register now.
This session is suitable for community members as well as professionals in the health, aged care, disability or related sectors
